The goals of this campaign are to promote understanding of childhood developmental milestones and neurodevelopmental disorders; expand screening for children ages 0–5; connect Prince George’s County families with local diagnostic and treatment resources; and replace stereotypes with education and acceptance of neurodiversity. As part of this campaign, our county leaderships is partnering with the Prince George’s County Memorial Library System to host resource fairs in each region of the County. The dates and locations of the resource fairs are provided in the flyer attached. The County Executive intends to feature a mix of educational and advocacy groups and clinical providers at each event so that families can have a safe space to learn, ask questions, and, if they choose, make an appointment for screening for their child with a local provider.
